Skoda : Management

The Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Škoda Auto Detlef Wittig, responsible for sales, marketing and commercial affairs, resigned from his post in conjunction with his assignment to the position as a member of the Board of Directors of Volkswagen brand, responsible for  sales and marketing. The Supervisory Board thanked D. Wittig for his excellent work in Škoda Auto. The shareholder simultaneously called Detlef Wittig in to take the post of a member of the Supervisory Board of Škoda Auto for the period from 1st of July, 2000 to 2004 replacing the resigning Hans Dieter Wiederhold. 

The office of the member of the Board of Directors of Škoda Auto responsible for the area of sales and marketing will be assumed by Detlev Schmidt, who has until now been responsible for the area of commercial affairs of SEAT.

An additional position of a new member of the Board of Directors of Škoda Auto responsible for the area of finance is assumed by Klaus Wulf, currently General Manager   Finance and Controlling in Volkswagen Sachsen.

Other members of the Board of Directors remain without change, namely 

Ing. Vratislav Kulhánek (Chairman), prof. Wilfried Bockelmann (technical development), Karl-Günter Büsching (production and logistics) and JUDr. Pavel Nováček (personnel management).
