Skoda gets a new "Konstruktionszentrum", Development Center. The construction work begun in November 1998. With the new center, Skoda will enhance its engineering staff by 160.

Currently about 1,000 engineers and technicians are working in Skoda research & development

The total investment is about 200 Mill. Czech Kronen ($ 8 Mill.). The 3,800 qm center in Cesana will be equiped with all edge of technology EDP. Key will be the central audience, where all kind of presentations can take place.
