SEAT Boards’ changes
effective July 1, 2000
The General Shareholders’
Meeting of SEAT, S.A. has appointed Dr. Bernd Pischetsrieder (51) and
Mr. Detlev Schmidt (55) new Members of the Board of Directors of SEAT,
S.A., as of July 1, 2000.
In its regular session of May
31, the Board of Directors of SEAT, S.A. confirmed the appointment of
Dr. Bernd Pischetsrieder as Chairman of the Board of Management of
SEAT, S.A. with effect from July 1, 2000. At the same time, Dr.
Pischetsrieder will become a Member of the Board of Management of
Volkswagen AG, heading the newly-created division of Group Quality
Management and SEAT.
Dr.
Pischetsrieder succeeds
Mr. Bruno Adelt (60), who assumed the Chairmanship of SEAT’s Board
of Management on June 18, 1999. Mr. Adelt, who is also a Member of the
Board of Management of Volkswagen AG, will maintain his position as
Chairman of the Board of Directors of SEAT, S.A.
On top of this already
announced appointment, SEAT’s Board of Directors made other
decisions to the future composition of the Board of Management of the
Spanish company, as of July 1:
Mr.
Wolfgang Dolg (52) has
been appointed Executive Vice President for Finance, replacing Mr.
Erich Krohn (50), who will become Chairman of the Board of Management
of Volkswagen Finance, in Madrid (Spain). Mr. Dolg was formerly Member
of the Board responsible for Finance in Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles
division.
Mr.
Lars-Henner Santelmann (37) has been appointed Executive Vice President for Sales and
Marketing, replacing Mr. Detlev Schmidt who was recently appointed as
Deputy Chairman and Member of the Board for Sales, Marketing and
Commercial Affairs at Skoda, in the Czech Republic. Mr. Santelmann was
previously Head of Sales Southeast Europe at Volkswagen brand.
