Le Mas de Pierre Main House

In the backdrop of the famous Cote d’Azur the beautiful Provencal countryside with its charming villages and amazing landscape offers another world: more relaxing, more natural and more picturesque. Only 20 minutes away from Nice and its international airport, at the foot of the historical village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence, is a small luxurious hideaway called Le Mas de Pierre. Opened in 2005, the Mas de Pierre features al the luxury, comfort and refinement of a 4-star guest establishment and since 2006 it has become part of the prestigious Relais & Chateaux collection.

The Bastides with the Pool Area

Le Mas de Pierre is owned by Socri, who purchased the former farm in 2001. Architect Philippe Caron, Landscaper Jean Mus and Interior Architect Patrick Ribes created a small luxurious hotel which represents all the beauty the Provence has to offer.

The seven bastides named as Antonin, Camille, Dominique, Estelle, Florian, Grégoire and Mas de Pierre (main house with restaurant, lobby and business area) are placed perfectly in between a myriad of trees including grapefruit, lemon and of course old olive trees. Pathways meander throughout and connect the houses.

The 50 rooms ranging from 50 to 60 m2 and 100 m2 apartments, each one with a loggia, terrace and private garden, are beautifully decorated in three different styles: Provencal, Romantic or Colonial, all featuring the typical Provencal colors of sun-yellow, ochre or lavender blue. All the rooms are air-conditioned. The marble bathrooms have a bathtub with incorporated shower or separate bathtub and shower with hydro massage nozzles. Lavatories are separate in all rooms. All rooms are equipped with plasma-screen televisions.

In the center of the seven guest houses is the pool area with its heated swimming-pool, an outdoor Jacuzzi, beach with cabanas, deck chairs and beach umbrellas. Close to the pool is the Spa with steam bath, sauna and treatment rooms and the fitness room. In a glasshouse, hundreds of orchids are grown, in the midst of which a reading lounge allows moments of relaxation and contentment.

Le Mas de Pierre is a beautifully designed place which is a great delight for all those who adore the beauty of the Provence. An essential part of the Provence is the cuisine and therefore Le Mas de Pierre provides its guests with its best. The restaurant called “Le Table de Pierre” offers excellent cuisine promoting the local tradition and enriched with fresh herbs from the own herb garden.

The famous chef de cuisine Nicolas Navarro describes his “recipe” that the cuisine was designed in a spirit to bring back old-fashioned Southern French family cooking with unyielding insistence on the freshness and quality of the ingredients.
