BMW Garners Four Spots On Edmunds.Com's Most Wanted 2001

Woodcliff Lake, NJ. - When Edmunds.com released their "Most Wanted 2001" list of favorite cars, BMWs occupied four of the nineteen spots. The four winners and their categories are:  

1. BMW 530i - Best Mid-sized Luxury Sedan over $30,000

2. BMW 5 Series - Best Luxury Station Wagon over $30,000

3. BMW 330Ci - Best Luxury Sport Coupe over $30,000

4. BMW 540i - Best Sport Sedan over $30,000 

Only seven awards were bestowed in the "over $30,000" price category giving BMW more than half the awards. 

The selections were made by the editorial staff at Edmunds.com. The "Most Wanted" list was created in response to reader inquiries about what they should buy or, more accurately, what the editors would buy given the choice. As the editors noted on the website, "We eat, breathe and dream automobiles, and in many instances, this love for the car overruled common sense during our selection process."
