Porsche remains on the rise in North America

Stuttgart - Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, continues its upward trend in North America - it's most important market by far. The sports car manufacturer delivered 1,285 units of its 911 and Boxster model lines to customers in the USA and Canada. Compared to the sales volume of 991 units for the same month of the previous year, this represents an increase of 30 percent. At the same time, these were the best September sales figures since the year 1987.

The 911 once again accelerated greatly: with 736 units sold, the sales volume for 911 model line topped that of the respective month in the previous year (616 vehicles) by 19 percent.

Never before have so many 911 vehicles been sold in North America in the month of September.

The increase for the Boxster was even more dramatic: with 549 units, 46 per cent more vehicles were delivered than in the comparison month of the previous year (375 units). Obviously, the new Boxster generation has become very popular with customers.
