Gilles Michel joins the PSA Peugeot Citroën

Paris - Gilles Michel joined the PSA Peugeot Citroën
Executive Committee today and took charge of the Platforms,
Technical Affairs and Purchasing department. Mr. Michel has been
with PSA Peugeot Citroën since late 2001. He succeeds Jean-Louis
Silvant, who has retired after 41 years with the Group.

Mr. Michel, 46, is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique, Ecole Nationale
de la Statistique et de l'Administration Economique (ENSAE) and Institut
d'Etudes Politiques in Paris. After teaching at ENSAE, he joined the World
Bank in Washington. In 1986, he joined Saint-Gobain, where he held a
number of management positions in France and the United States. In 2000,
he became President of the Ceramics and Plastics Division and member of
the General Management Committee.
