He joins Buick from Oldsmobile where he had been advertising director since Oct. 2000. "The addition of Randall Tallerico to Buick is one that will benefit the division tremendously," said Buick General Manager Roger Adams. "Through his work with previous automotive products and the positions he has held with one of the largest advertising agencies, he has developed a strong understanding of what drives a consumer to purchase. His leadership is invaluable as we continue to contemporize the Buick image." Tallerico joined General Motors from J. Walter Thompson, he gained experience through his managerial positions during his work in Detroit, New York City, Frankfurt, Bangkok, Sydney, Paris, and London. A Grosse Pointe, Mich., native, Tallerico received his bachelor's degree in advertising from the University of Michigan in 1974. He started his advertising career with Robert Solomon & Associates Advertising (now Solomon Friedman agency) and advanced to the Thompson firm in 1979. (August 3, 2001) [Homepage] [
