Companies : Faurecia
Increased space will enable Faurecia to localize and expand these teams, and the Group hopes to increase the number of total staff working with Japanese partners and OEMs to around 100 over the coming years. In addition, the site will house Faurecia's Japan-based sales and marketing teams, which support customers such as Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Suzuki and Honda. Faurecia has been serving Japanese OEMs in Europe and North America for several years and more recently has seen success in Asia. In European markets, the Group currently supplies Toyota, Suzuki, Nissan, Mazda and Mitsubishi. In North America, Faurecia's components and mechanisms can be found on several Honda and Nissan vehicles. More recently, in China, Faurecia has begun supplying Mazda and Honda. On the Japanese automotive market, Faurecia supplies its technical expertise through local partnerships. An example is the Mazda Axela: its cockpit structure is designed by Faurecia and manufactured by Nishikawa-Kasei; its Exhaust System, manufactured by Yumex, was developed by Faurecia. Faurecia products can also be found on the Nissan Teana, Presage and Cube 3, which are supplied through a partnership with NHK. In all, the Group supplies modules or components for some 3.4 million vehicles produced by Japanese OEMs worldwide. "Japanese automakers are tremendously successful both in their home market and around the world. As a leading global automotive supplier, we view developing business across all our modules with Japanese OEMs as a strategic priority," said Pierre Lévi, Chairman & CEO of Faurecia. "We're pleased to be moving forward in our efforts bring our technical expertise to the Japanese market and to Japanese OEMs worldwide. The steps we are taking will enable us to strengthen local partnerships and better meet customer demands in terms of quality, cost, delivery and innovation," added Laurent Hebenstreit, Executive Vice President supervising Japan operations.
