American Axle &
Manufacturing Announces Executive Appointments
DETROIT, Oct. 11, 2004 -
American Axle & Manufacturing, Inc. (AAM), today announced the following
executive assignments and appointments:
Executive Vice
President, Operations & Planning Yogendra N. Rahangdale has been
named Chairman of AAM's Operating Committee. The vice presidents of the
Driveline and Metal Formed Products Divisions; Program Management &
Launch; Quality Assurance & Customer Satisfaction; Materials Management
& Logistics; as well as the directors of Industrial Engineering &
Productivity, and Capital & Capacity Planning will report to Rahangdale.
Thomas O. Delanoy
has been named vice president, Materials Management & Logistics.
Previously, Delanoy served as executive director, Material & Production
Control.
John S. Sofia
has been appointed vice president, Quality Assurance & Customer
Satisfaction. Previously, Sofia served as director, Advanced Quality
Planning.
Charles B. Comeau
has been named general manager, Driveline - U.S. Operations. Previously,
Comeau was plant manager, Detroit Gear & Axle.
Kenneth A. Koncilja
has been named executive director, Internal Audit. In his previous
position, Koncilja was director, Internal Audit.
Gerald E. Coster
has been named director, Production Control & Materials Management.
Previously, Coster served as director, Global Supply Base Management.
Michael Dorah
has been appointed director, Global Supply Base Management. In his
previous position, Dorah served as plant manager, Tonawanda Forge in New
York.
Dr. Robert Karban,
Jr. has been appointed director, Advanced Quality Planning.
Previously, Karban served as director, AAM Manufacturing System.
Donald L. Joseph
has been named plant manager, Detroit Gear & Axle. In his previous
position, Joseph served as plant manager, Three Rivers Driveline.
Lawrence R. Oliver
has been named plant manager, Three Rivers Driveline. Previously, Oliver
served as Manufacturing Manager at AAM's Three Rivers, Michigan
facility.
