Lincoln creates LS concept for Los Angeles International Auto Show
.
LOS ANGELES – Six months after launching the all-new Lincoln LS luxury sports sedan, the designers at Lincoln are back at it with the 2000 LS Concept vehicle. The LS Concept will be on display at the Los Angeles International Auto Show from Jan. 7 through 15 at the Lincoln product display.

Building on the same platform that helped LS receive Motor Trend’s coveted Car of the Year award, Lincoln designers added some new design features to LS, giving it a sportier look. The new features include projector headlamps, dark tinted windows, 18-inch wheels, chrome-tipped exhaust pipes and a rear deck extension.

"Since the launch in June, Lincoln LS has been popular with customers and dealers alike, so we asked our designers to see what type of aftermarket products they could fit to LS," said Mark Hutchins, Lincoln Mercury president.

Lincoln Mercury, based in Irvine, Calif., markets the full line of Lincoln and Mercury vehicles. The Lincoln line includes Town Car, Navigator, Continental and LS. The Mercury product line includes Cougar, Sable, Grand Marquis, Mountaineer, Villager and Mystique. (Jan. 7, 2000)
