DaimlerChrysler Shows Off Three Concept Cars At Annual LA Auto Show

Tom Gale, Executive Vice President for Product Development & Design for DaimlerChrysler Corp., unveiled three concept cars - , Neon SRT (right), Howler (left) and Java - at the LA Auto Show today. Neon SRT concept is the most powerful Neon ever. With a supercharged, 2.0-liter, 16-valve engine that generates 208 horsepower, Neon SRT shows the potential Neon has in the latest compact car customization trend. Howler is a performance pickup design study based on the Prowler production roadster, featuring a 4.7-liter, V-8 engine and manual transmission. Making its North American debut, Java-s -Passenger Priority Design- makes maximum use of its interior dimensions. -Java shows that a compact car can have an attractive and rich interior," according to Gale.
