MOTOR MANUFACTURING, INC.)

Opened in 1984, Nummi was the first cooperation
of GM with a Japanese company in USA. Started as a new model
plant together with Toyota the plant is now one of the best
in the US.
In 1963 the plant was launched and closed in 1982. The area
was seen as unreliable, hit by strikes, high absenteeism and
bad quality.
