Buick
The new Buick Riviera
concept vehicle is having its worldwide premiere on the eve of Auto
Shanghai 2013. Designed jointly by GM’s Shanghai GM and Pan Asia
Technical Automotive Center (PATAC) joint ventures in Shanghai, it
offers a preview of Buick’s future design trends through its elegant
exterior and interior. It also features a range of advanced
technologies, including plug-in hybrid electric vehicle propulsion
technology. Appearing alongside the new Riviera concept vehicle are the
1965 Buick Riviera Coupe and 2007 Buick Riviera concept vehicle. The
three models show how Buick styling has evolved over time.
Chevrolet

Auto Shanghai 2013 is
the venue for the Chinese premiere of the Chevrolet Cruze hatchback. The
new model complements the Cruze sedan, which is one of Chevrolet’s most
popular models offered in China, and the rest of the brand’s domestic
lineup on display.
Cadillac

Cadillac has on display
10 models, including the Escalade ESV, the brand’s new flagship SUV that
is making its debut in China at Auto Shanghai 2013. The Escalade ESV
reinterprets Cadillac’s slogan of “be dramatic” with its elegant and
fashionable design, premium equipment, powerful performance, advanced
safety and riding comfort.
Opel
Opel has returned to
Auto Shanghai with its full product lineup in China led by its newly
launched Insignia Sports Tourer, which will go on sale nationwide
starting early next month at a price of between RMB 325,000 and RMB
375,000. Opel is also showcasing two new models – the Zafira Tourer and
Astra GTC – together with its most popular model in the market, the
Antara SUV.
Baojun
The Baojun passenger
car brand is showcasing the new 2013 Baojun 630, which is powered by
1.5L DVVT and 1.8L ECOTEC engines and features improvements from the
original model in handling, interior styling and comfort, exterior
styling and safety. Accompanying the Baojun 630 is the Lechi, an iconic
high-performance mini-car that joined the brand’s lineup in 2012.
Jiefang
Jiefang from FAW-GM is
displaying two models that go on sale later this year. The new Jiefang
S230 and Jiefang F330 are important additions to the brand’s growing
light-duty truck family.
