Toyota Promotes Jim Farley to Group
Vice President
TORRANCE, Calif. - Toyota Motor Sales,
(TMS) U.S.A. Inc. announced the promotion of Jim Farley to group
vice president of marketing and corporate officer. In this role
Farley has responsibility for all Toyota Division market planning,
advertising, merchandising, sales promotion, incentives and Internet
activities. Previously, Farley was vice president of marketing for
Toyota Division. He will continue to report to TMS Executive Vice
President Jim Lentz.
Farley joined Toyota in 1990
in the strategic-planning department. Since then, he has
held a wide range of positions including Lexus product planner,
manager of truck product planning, manager truck series
marketing and national advertising manager. Farley also
held the position of general manager of product management
for Toyota Europe. He was involved with field sales operations
as Central Area manager for the Lexus Division and more
recently, Farley was corporate manager of Scion.
He assumed leadership of the Toyota
Marketing Division after the successful launch of the Scion brand
across the United States and has brought an innovative approach
to Toyota Marketing, developed as part of the Scion marketing model.
His strategic leadership and operational experience will be directed
toward the successful launch of the all-new Toyota Tundra.
