Johnson Controls Names Keith Wandell President of Automotive Group
 

MILWAUKEE - Johnson Controls, Inc. today announced that Keith E. Wandell has been named President of the company's automotive group.

Mr. Wandell, 53, will be responsible for the global automotive interiors and battery businesses whose sales totaled $15 billion for fiscal 2002.

According to Johnson Controls President and Chief Executive Officer John M. Barth, "Keith has done an outstanding job growing our battery business while significantly improving its quality, safety and cost performance. His operational strengths and keen focus on customer expectations will augment our current interiors leadership team that has made Johnson Controls a global leader in the automotive industry."

 

Mr. Wandell had been in charge of the company's battery business since 1997. He held a variety of management positions within the battery unit after joining Johnson Controls in 1988 as a plant manager. He was elected a corporate officer in 1997. He previously worked for Farley Industries.

He is a graduate of Ohio University and holds an M.B.A. from the University of Dayton.
