Ingolstadt - Audi has opened a new chapter in the success story of the
A6. Both saloon and Avant versions will go to the start with innovative
engine solutions together with numerous improvements to design and
equipment, body and running gear. The way is clear for the Audi A6: the
pacesetter in the C-segment has become more dynamic and luxurious.
The choice of drive versions is still unique compared with the
competition. A total of 48 different versions of the A6 and A6 Avant are
available – including 22 with quattro drive. And Audi is the only
manufacturer to offer the continuously variable automatic transmission
multitronic. In the A6 series it can now be combined with five different
engines, including for the first time a TDI unit.
The engineers have completely redeveloped or improved numerous
components. The most convincing way to experience the result of these
optimisations is to take a test drive. Every detail of the car helps to
ensure that the Audi A6 is now able to display its qualities in terms of
driving pleasure, utility value, comfort and style even more commandingly.
Sales of the new-generation A6 have already started in Germany. Its
first customers will be taking receipt of their new car in June.
