Ford Focus Th!nk Photo: Ford PHILADELPHIA – Ford Motor Company will bring its industry-leading line-up of alternative fuel vehicles to the Department of Energy’s Clean Cities Conference in Philadelphia, May 13-16. As gas prices set new records, alternative fuels can help consumers avoid paying high prices at the pump. Vehicles on display include Ford’s hybrid electric Escape concept, P2000 hydrogen-powered fuel cell vehicle, Ford TH!NK city, Ford TH!NK neighbor, natural gas-powered Ford Crown Victoria police car and Ford Ranger electric vehicle. TH!NK city, TH!NK neighbor and Ranger EV will be available for ride and drive as well. At the conference, Ford also will donate a natural gas van to the Philadelphia Fun, Fit & Free! The Partner Recognition program provides a significant discount on a full range of Ford alternative fuel vehicles as well as a wide variety of Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda, Volvo and Land Rover vehicles. "Ford values the special relationship we have established with the Clean Cities coordinators," said Gordon. "We will continue to work together to achieve the our common environmental goals by promoting the use of alternative fuel vehicles." The Clean Cities Program supports public-private partnerships that deploy alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs) and build supporting infrastructure. By encouraging AFV use, the Clean Cities Program helps enhance energy security and environmental quality at both the national and local levels. Ford offers more alternative fuel vehicles than any other automaker including; dedicated natural gas Crown Victoria, F-Series and Econoline, bi-fuel natural gas F-Series, bi-fuel propane F-Series and Super Duty, electric Ranger and flexible fuel Ranger and Taurus capable of running on any combination of E85 (ethanol) and gasoline from the same tank.
