"This merger follows the recent announcement that Ford Motor
Company has taken a majority shareholding in our Company."
Land
Rover, a member of the Premier Automotive Group, joins Ford, Mazda,
Mitsubishi, Volvo and Jaguar in the proud and exciting product line-up
marketed and distributed by the Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa.
The acquisition involves the entire Land Rover line of vehicles - Range
Rover, Discovery, Freelander and Defender.
Mr.
Oliveira stated that where Land Rover customers are concerned, they
should rest assured that, in the true spirit of this merger, the
integrity of the Land Rover brand will remain intact and will be
passionately protected.

Mr.
Oliveira confirmed that Ms Moira Moses would continue with Land Rover SA
as Managing Director.
