Dana's Long Manufacturing Canadian Facilities Receive ISO 14001 Environmental Certification TOLEDO, Ohio - Dana Corporation announced each of its Long Manufacturing Canadian facilities has received ISO 14001 certification. Long Manufacturing is one of the first Canadian automotive suppliers to have all of its facilities ISO 14001 certified. The Ontario facilities, located in Burlington, Cambridge, Mississauga, Mount Forest, and Oakville, are registered to the international environmental standard. ISO 14001 certification recognizes Long Manufacturing's support of environmental protection and the prevention of pollution, along with ongoing compliance with all North American environmental laws and regulations. To achieve the ISO 14001 certification, Long Manufacturing utilized an Environmental Management System (EMS), which helped determine the effectiveness of procedures and conformance to environmental policy. The EMS employed management reviews, recycling programs, employee training and awareness programs, and a communication campaign to ensure the success of the environmental program. "We are very proud that Long Manufacturing is one of the first Canadian automotive suppliers to have all of its facilities achieve this prestigious distinction," said Allan Cameron, president of Fluid System Products for Dana's Fluid System Group. "We now are striving to have all of our Fluid System operations follow Long Manufacturing's example and become ISO 14001 certified." (Jan. 21, 2000)
