| COLOGNE, Germany - As a key element in its transition to
becoming more consumer focused, Ford has announced new appointments in the areas of
Consumer and Product Marketing within its European operations. Appointed to the new Ford
of Europe positions of Vice President, Consumer Marketing, and Vice President, Product
Marketing, are Andy Eggleston and Murat Yalman. Both report directly to Earl Hesterberg,
Vice President Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford of Europe.
Andy Eggleston, previously Vice President Marketing, Ford of Europe, has responsibility
for retail e-commerce development, customer relationship marketing, consumer insight
research and customer satisfaction strategy, within Ford's overall brand strategy.
Murat Yalman, who began his career in Ford's product planning operation, held a number
of brand strategy, marketing communications and product marketing roles with Nissan North
America, prior to his new appointment. He is responsible for Ford's vehicle brand
management teams and product marketing communications, and will be working closely with
the company's Product Development vehicle line teams and National Sales companies.
Earl Hesterberg said: "Andy's team will represent the 'voice of the customer'
within our corporate planning activities, where those relate to products and services, and
will allow maximum focus on the company's top corporate priorities. They will also be
making further contributions to our transition into a customer-led company.
"Murat's appointment gives us the capability to fully support all our new product
programmes and ensure we optimise our potential for success, while further strengthening
the overall brand image of Ford in Europe.
"I believe these are two key appointments in our plans to achieve growth in Europe
and both bring a wide range of experience to the team," Mr Hesterberg added.
The appointments are effective immediately.
