To mark the new engine’s incorporation in the Captur’s catalogue, Renault has released a new numbered limited-edition version of the model: the Captur Pure. This chic, fuel-efficient and handsomely-equipped version will go on sale in France on February 13, 2015, at a tax-paid price of €25,100 equipped with the dCi 110 engine. After emerging as Europe’s best-selling model in its segment and as one of the top-three most popular models overall in France in 2014, the Renault Captur continues to evolve. It can now be ordered with the most powerful version of the 1.5 dCi engine. This 110hp Euro6 powerplant is already available for Renaults from higher segments. Compared with the dCi 90, this new engine brings the Renault Captur a power boost of 20hp, along with an extra 40Nm of torque.
Mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, the Captur dCi110 reaches 100kph from standstill two seconds faster and boasts even more responsive mid-range acceleration than the acclaimed dCi90. Yet it also stands out through its fuel efficiency, since its homologated combined-cycle fuel consumption stands at just 3.7 litres/100km, equivalent to CO2 emissions of 98g/km.
