The Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este
celebrated its 80th anniversary this year, once again attracting
50 stunning cars built between the 1920s and 1970s to the
grounds of the eponymous Lake Como villa. All of the cars shown
were of enormous historical value and either in pristine
condition or restored.
The jury – presided over by Lorenzo
Ramaciotti and made up of several high profile names from the
car world, including Patrick le Quement, Lord Charles March and
Hiedo Kodama - awarded the special prize for Best Restoration to
the Ferrari 250 GT Coupé Pininfarina chassis no. 0419 GT. The
car, owned by Kenneth and Dayle Roach from California (USA),
also came second in its Class. |
