Lamborghini Reveals New 'Gallardo
Coupe LP560-4' Model

NEW YORK - Italian super sports
car giant Lamborghini unveiled its new Gallardo Coupe LP560-4 at
the Geneva Motor Show on Tuesday 4th March. The company is
famous for the striking looks of its cars.
The new model to replace the
former Gallardo Coupe features:
-
A new 5.2 litre V10 engine with
an output of 560 bhp
-
permanent four-wheel drive
transmission
-
new suspension, delivering even
further improved performance and dynamics
-
It is lighter than the previous
Gallardo by 20kg
-
CO2 emissions have been
substantially reduced
And all of this means the new
Gallardo's performance is enhanced as well. It accelerates from
0-100km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.7 seconds. Its top speed is 325km/h
(202 mph).

"The new Gallardo LP560-4 is a
significantly enhanced version of what was already an extreme
car," said Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili
Lamborghini SpA. "With an even more sharply defined character,
the new Gallardo LP560-4 is also innately elegant and sensuous:
the expression of an uncompromising lifestyle." |

The car's name refers to its
engine position (LP- Longitudinale Posteriore - long
ways/mid-rear mounted) its heightened power of 560 hp and the
Lamborghini USP of permanent four-wheel drive.
The new Gallardo Coupe combines
new elegance and sensuality with the aggressive, clean lines
clearly recognisable as Lamborghini.
Distinct new body styling
distinguishes the car from its predecessor: external features
include new air vents, new rear and front bumpers. The Y motif
arrow LED lights are inspired by other Lamborghini models
including the 1 million euro Reventon. The car even has a rear
camera which has been integrated in a small fin in the rear
spoiler.
