Simon Boag Promoted to Head of Chrysler
Group Procurement and Supply
Rosenfeld Leaves After 25 Years at
Company
Chrysler Group today announced that
Peter Rosenfeld, Executive Vice President-Procurement and
Supply-Chrysler Group, has decided to leave the company after 25
years of service. He will be succeeded by Simon Boag.

“Peter led with distinction the
global expansion of our procurement and supply
strategy,” said Tom LaSorda, Chrysler Group President
and CEO. “We thank him for his commitment and leadership
over the past two and a half decades.”

Boag is rejoining the Chrysler Group
after a 15-month stint as head of production planning for the
Mercedes Car Group. Prior to his assignment in Stuttgart,
Germany, Boag was Vice President – Assembly and Stamping
Operations for the Chrysler Group. He joined the company in 2005
and previously worked for General Motors (GM) in various
assignments, including President and CEO of Argentina and
President of CAMI Automotive, a joint venture of GM and Suzuki.

“Simon knows how to put cars
and trucks together and knows how to run a business,”
said LaSorda. “His skills are a perfect fit to lead our
procurement and supply activities on a global basis.”

Boag has an undergraduate degree in
mechanical engineering from the University of Toronto and a
Master of Science degree in management from Stanford University,
where he graduated as a Sloan Fellow.
