Volkswagen of America: 50,332 vehicles delivered since the beginning of the year

Jetta is top-selling model

Volkswagen of America delivered 50,332 vehicles to customers in the USA during the period January – March this year. On a market heavily characterized by discount battles, in which Volkswagen does not participate, this figure is 5.6 percent lower than during the comparable prior-year period.

The top-selling VW model is the Jetta with 21,564 vehicles delivered to customers, followed by the Passat (8,990) and the New Beetle including the Cabrio (6,176). In March, Volkswagen of America sold 17,355 vehicles, six percent higher than the prior month of February and 16.3 percent lower than the same month last year.
