After playing the 3rd round of the
South African Open at the Humewood Golf Course in Port
Elizabeth, South Africa, Trevor Immelman went to 20 under and
took over the leadership. Immelman was in the last group with Ernie Els and the Swede Patrik Sjoland, who played a
marvelous 68 and 64 on the first two rounds.
Trevor started with four pars, but
than played 9 birdies. Finally he made his putt at
the 18th to another birdie and ended up with –20. Ernie Els
could improve to –17 after starting at –14. Patrik Sjoland
played a solid round, but could only improve one point to –15
after his glorious 64 yesterday.
