Toyota officials from the company's headquarters in Torrance, Calif. and regional office in Cincinnati marked today's occasion with additional gifts for Newton and two charitable contributions. A check for over $26,000, representing the like amount given to Newton, was presented to local officials of the American Red Cross. In addition, Toyota presented a check for $5,000 to Vandalia Butler High School, to benefit their band program, while Joseph Airport Toyota provided the school with an additional $2,500 gift.
Newton also received a 7 year Platinum Vehicle Service Agreement from Toyota Financial Services; 3 years of free maintenance, a $500 gas card and a new set of tires, when tires are needed on her Camry. The Toyota Certified Used Vehicle program has been an industry leader since its inception in January 1996. Each Toyota Certified Used Vehicle receives a rigorous 160-point quality assurance inspection of all mechanical, appearance and safety features. Toyota recently enhanced its TCUV program, so that TCUV vehicles sold after October 1, 2005 are backed by a seven-year, 100,000-mile factory powertrain warranty and Roadside Assistance. In addition, TCUV buyers receive a comprehensive warranty of three-months/3,000 miles. Toyotas from 1999-2006 model years with less than 85,000 miles are eligible for the program. (Oct 19, 2005)
