Chance To Stay On First Tee During Buick Open Pro-Am Up For Bid On Ebay

 

GRAND BLANC, Mich. - One lucky golf fan can win a spot as a photo assistant on the first tee during the 2005 Buick Open Pro-AM at Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club (July 25-31). This unique opportunity is available to the public through an auction on eBay that runs through March 24. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Buick Open charities.

The Buick Open photo assistant will be stationed on the first tee throughout the July 27 On-Star Pro-Am. In addition to assisting the official photographer, the winner will have a photo taken with 2004 Buick Open Champion Vijay Singh. The package also includes an autographed pin flag signed by several PGA tour professionals; a Buick Open shirt and hat; four clubhouse badges for Thursday-Sunday of Buick Open week; and a special Pro-AM parking pass.

"This is a premium opportunity to see the PGA Tour's top players up close, have a unique role in the operation of the Pro-Am and help raise money for the Buick Open charities at the same time," said Buick Golf Marketing Manager Larry Peck. "We encourage all golf fans to participate in this auction to benefit organizations that do so much for so many deserving people."

Proceeds from the auction will go to the Buick Open charities, including the American Red Cross, Whaley Children's Center, The Easter Seal Society, the American Lung Association of Michigan and many others. Buick has donated $7.2 million to charities throughout Southeastern Michigan since 1982, including a record $740,000 from the 2004 Buick open.

The defending champion is Vijay Singh, who can become the first player in the history of the Buick Open to win it three times if he defends his title this summer.
