The highest bidder on the VIP package will get all-star treatment with a trip to the Revlon Run/Walk in Los Angeles on May 8, where he or she will be ceremonially awarded the keys to the Solara Convertible on the center stage by one of Revlon's hottest celebrity spokeswomen. The package includes roundtrip airfare and three nights hotel accommodation for two at The Peninsula Hotel Beverly Hills. The ultimate reward is a ride along with a celebrity pace car driver in the official Solara Convertible pace car at the Revlon Run/Walk. The VIP package also includes tea at The Peninsula Hotel Beverly Hills with Revlon spokeswoman Karen Duffy. In addition, the top bidder will receive a $1,000 shopping spree at Robinsons-May, $500 in spending cash, spa package, dinner for two at Spago Restaurant, a complete makeover and lesson at the luxurious Mauro Hair Studio in Beverly Hills and a pair of shoes from Sergio Rossi's highly anticipated spring/summer 2004 collection. Toyota has supported the Revlon Run/Walk since 1999 and is a double platinum sponsor of the 2004 event. In addition, this year Toyota has donated a 2004 Toyota Solara Convertible SLE V6 for auction. Among the largest 5K events in the nation, the Revlon Run/Walks in Los Angeles and New York have raised approximately $30 million dollars in funds since first launching in L.A. eleven years ago. Presented by the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF), the Run/Walk is co-chaired by Ellen Barkin and Ronald O. Perelman, and Lilly Tartikoff. Proceeds from past Revlon Run/Walks have funded cutting-edge research contributing to the development of important new therapies, such as Herceptin(R), the first in the wave of new targeted cancer treatments. Funds raised have also helped numerous organizations in providing education, advocacy and outreach services to those affected by women's cancers. "Toyota has sponsored the Revlon Run/Walk since 1999, so this is a tremendous opportunity to align our commitment to charity with our marketing goals," said Dian Ogilvie, Toyota's Group Vice President and General Counsel. "Toyota will have more than 500 participants in the Run/Walk and we'll raise more than $100,000 for women's cancer research. We hope the eBay auction will help spotlight this event and raise awareness for its important purpose. This disease has touched everyone in our organization -- our mothers, sisters, wives, friends, colleagues -- we hope we can contribute to finding a cure in our lifetime." "Through involvement in the Revlon Run/Walk, we can all make a continuing impact in the fight against women's cancers," says Ronald O. Perelman, chairman of Revlon, Inc., co-founder of the Run/Walk and co-founder of the Revlon/UCLA Women's Cancer Research Program. "Historic advances in cancer treatment have been possible because of the increased resources made available by Revlon and the participants in the Run/Walk."
