Daimler Chrysler: Supervisory Board decides on Changes In the Board of
Management

Prof. Jurgen Hubbert
to take over responsibility for Executive Automotive Committee (EAC)
on August 1, 2004

Dr. Wolfgang Bernhard
to assume responsibility for Mercedes Car Group on May 1, 2004

Dr. Thomas Weber to
head Development Department of Mercedes Car Group, in addition to his
responsibilities at Research & Technology, effective May 1, 2004

Thomas W. La Sorda to
become new Chief Operating Officer of Chrysler Group and Deputy Member
of the Board of Management of DaimlerChrysler on May 1, 2004

Bodo Uebber to succeed
Dr. Manfred Gentz as full Member of the Board of Management
responsible for Finance & Controlling with effect from December
16, 2004. He will retain responsibility for DaimlerChrysler Services.

Supervisory Board
intends to appoint Prof. Jurgen E. Schrempp as Chairman of the Board
of Management for a further three years

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - Today, the Supervisory Board of DaimlerChrysler AG
made the following decisions:

Jürgen Hubbert
|
Jürgen Hubbert, presently responsible for the
Mercedes Car Group will head the Executive Automotive Committee with
effect from August 1, 2004. He will assume responsibility for all
multi-brand product issues on the Board of Management of
DaimlerChrysler.

Wolfgang Bernhard |
Wolfgang Bernhard, presently Chief Operating
Officer of the Chrysler Group, will on May 1, 2004 change over to
the Mercedes Car Group and will assume sole responsibility for the
Mercedes Car Group on the Board of Management of DaimlerChrysler as
of August 1, 2004 succeeding Jürgen Hubbert in this position. From
May to end of July, 2004 Jürgen Hubbert and Wolfgang Bernhard will
jointly head the Mercedes Car Group. |

Thomas W. La Sorda

Thomas W. La Sorda, previously responsible for
Production within the Chrysler Group, will succeed Wolfgang Bernhard
as Chief Operating Officer of the Chrysler Group on May 1, 2004. He
will also be appointed a Deputy Member of the Board of Management
for a period of three years.

Thomas Weber, in charge of
Research & Technology, will become a full Member of the Board of
Management of DaimlerChrysler with effect from May 1, 2004. In addition to
his present function he will take over responsibility for the Development
Department of the Mercedes Car Group from Hans-Joachim Schopf who will be
retiring by July 30, 2004. From May until the end of July, 2004, Thomas
Weber and Hans-Joachim Schopf will be jointly responsible for the
Development Department of the Mercedes Car Group.
Bodo Uebber, a Deputy Member
of the Board of Management of DaimlerChrysler and currently in charge of
DaimlerChrysler Services, will become a full Member of the Board of
Management on December 16, 2004 and assume additional responsibility for
the Finance & Controlling Division. He will succeed Manfred Gentz in
this position.
The Supervisory Board
unanimously supports a prolongation of Jurgen E. Schrempp's term of office
and during its next meeting intends to appoint him as Chairman of the
Board of Management for a further three years. His current appointment
will expire at the Annual General Meeting in 2005.
