Ford Motor Company Executives To Retire; Replacements Named

DEARBORN, Mich. - Ford Motor Company today announced the retirements of five corporate officers effective January 2002 and the appointment of two new corporate officers effective Jan. 1, 2002.

James D. Donaldson, group vice president Global Business Development, will retire after more than 37 years at Ford. Vaughn Koshkarian, vice president Ford Asia Pacific, will retire after more than 33 years at Ford. Michael D. Jordan, vice president Ford Customer Service Division and president Automotive Consumer Services Group, will retire after more than 30 years at Ford.  James A. Yost , vice president Corporate Strategy, will retire after more than 27 years at Ford. Elliott S. Hall, vice president Dealer Development, will retire after more than 14 years at Ford.

In addition, Lincoln Mercury President Mark Hutchins has indicated that he will retire in 2002 and will work with his successor until that time to ensure a seamless transition for the business and the dealers.

Three of the positions vacated by the retirements will be filled.

Kathleen A. Ligocki, vice president Canada and Mexico and North America Strategy, will be appointed vice president Strategy, Business Development and Canada and Mexico, effective Jan. 1, 2002. Kathleen will report to Martin Inglis, group vice president and chief financial officer, regarding strategy and business development and Nick V. Scheele, group vice president North America regarding Canada and Mexico.

Mark A. Schulz, general manager of Ford of Europe operations in Turkey (Ford Otomotive Sanayi A.S.), will be appointed as a corporate vice president and will replace Koshkarian, serving as president Ford Asia Pacific, effective Jan. 1, 2002. Schulz will report to Henry Wallace, group vice president Mazda and Asia Pacific. Brian P. Kelley, vice president Global Consumer Services, will be appointed president Lincoln Mercury and will replace Hutchins, effective Jan. 1, 2002. Kelley will report to Wolfgang Reitzle, chairman and CEO Premier Automotive Group.

One officer position has been created and a new officer will replace its appointee.

Lloyd E. Hansen , vice president controller, has been appointed vice president Revenue Management, effective Nov. 1. He will report to Jim O'Connor, president Ford Division, and will support all of Ford Motor Company's brands worldwide. Don R. Leclair, controller Ford North America, is appointed as a new corporate vice president, replacing Hansen, also effective Nov. 1, 2001. Leclair will report to Inglis.

Finally, effective Jan. 1, 2002, Hertz rental operations will report to Donald A. Winkler, group vice president and chairman, Ford Financial. Hertz currently reports to Wayne Booker, vice chairman, whose Jan. 1, 2002, retirement was announced on July 12.
