| COLOGNE, Germany, Dec. 15, 1999 - Joe Greenwell has been
appointed Vice President, Communications and Public Affairs for Ford of Europe, effective
January 1, 2000. He will report to Nick Scheele, Chairman, Ford of Europe.

| "It is a great pleasure to welcome Joe to head Ford of
Europe Public Affairs. He has made a major contribution to Jaguar Car's period of
transformation and it's success in recent years. He has led the company's worldwide PR
programmes with great professionalism. I look forward to working with him again,"
said Nick Scheele. Mr. Greenwell will succeed Dr. Wolfgang Schneider, who has been appointed to the position of Vice President, Legal, Governmental & Environmental Affairs of Ford of Europe. Mr. Greenwell is presently Director, Communications and Public Affairs, Jaguar Cars, a position he has held since January 1996. Joe Greenwell joined Jaguar in 1983 and has since held several senior management positions within Sales, Marketing and Public Affairs at Jaguar Cars. In his new position he will be responsible for all communications and Public Affairs matters in the 44 European countries in which Ford of Europe operates. Joe Greenwell is married and has four children. He holds a BA in English and American Literature.
