In
his new assignment, Triulzi will be responsible for growing the
accessory business focusing on sales and development. Triulzi will head
up a team of marketing, engineering and purchasing professionals.
Triulzi
began his GM career at the former GM Parts Division in 1977 and served
as a district manager in a variety of U.S. locations with his first
international assignment being Puerto Rico, responsible for the
Caribbean.
In
the early 80's, Triulzi was transferred to Saudi Arabia as a district
manager and three years later was appointed the area sales manager for
the Middle East and Africa based in Dubai. Returning to Detroit in 1987,
he served as director for both marketing and sales functions for SPO
International.
In
1989, Triulzi was transferred to the European Parts and Accessories
organization in Germany as the regional director for Western Europe. Two
years later, he became head of GM Espana aftersales based in Madrid. In
1993, he returned to Germany as director of sales & customer service
support to assist in the development of a Pan European aftersales
organization. Three years later, Triulzi was appointed director of
marketing and sales for General Motors International Operations.
Triulzi
joined the Latin America, Africa and Middle East Region (LAAM) in 1997
as general director of aftersales activities to establish a coordinated
aftersales sales, marketing, service and distribution effort for this
rapidly growing region. He holds this position until assuming his new
assignment at SPO in January.
A
native of Charlotte, N.C., Triulzi received a bachelor's degree in
liberal arts from North Carolina State University-Raleigh in 1974. He
also attended both the Harvard University (Mass.) and INSEAD (France)
executive management programs.
