Aston Martin : Three new Vantage Models from Aston Martin
Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Volante Photos: Aston Martin The new DB7 Vantage and DB7 Vantage Volante are powered by totally new 6.0 litre 420 horsepower V12 Aston Martin engines which have been designed in close cooperation with the Ford Research and Vehicle Technology Group and Cosworth Technology.
Aston Martin DB7 Vantage These new and additional models of the DB7 - now the most successful Aston Martin of all time - are designed to offer outstanding levels of power and performance and to complement the 335 horsepower six cylinder supercharged DB7 Coupe and Volante which will continue to be available. In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Aston Martin DBR1’s historic victories at Le Mans and in the World Sportscar Championship 40 special, named and numbered editions of the V8 Vantage with 550 or 600 horsepower twin supercharged engines have been commissioned by Aston Martin. With the potential to exceed 200 mph, unique coachwork, interior design and chassis development the Aston Martin V8 Vantage Le Mans will be offered to customers with an infinite choice of body colours and Connolly hide upholstery including the very distinctive green which became one of the hallmarks of Sir David Brown’s world famous Aston Martin "Works" racing teams. At the Geneva Salon the three new Vantage derivatives, all finished in Aston Martin racing green, will be displayed alongside DBR1/2 which was driven to victory at Le Mans in 1959 by Carroll Shelby and Roy Salvadori and still continues to be raced competitively. In addition there will be an example of Aston Martin’s new 6.0 litre V12 engine and six speed transmission for the DB7 Vantage and DB7 Vantage Volante.
