The plant in Hannover was built in 1956, as one of the first
"Volkswagenwerk AG" plants. Nowadays about 15,050 people are working here.

The plant is running 3 lines
line #1 is the T4, with 160,000 units p.a. or 650 - 700 units p. day
line # 2 is the LT, with about 40,000 units p.a. or 120 units p. day
line #3 is producing components
The Hannover plant has a leadplant function within the Volkswagen Group for the
Aluminium foundry. In Hannover about 2,000 people are working in the foundry.

Volkswagen wide are here produced. The yearly output of cylinder heads is 2.2 Mio.
The
plant is moderate automized:
the degree of automotion of T-line bodyshop is at 80%
the LT at 50%
assembly is only 20-30% automized
