Takashi Yamanouchi Appointed President and CEO Of Mazda Motor Corporation

Hiroshima, Japan - Mazda Motor Corporation has announced that Takashi Yamanouchi has been named President and Chief Executive Officer, effective November 19, 2008. Yamanouchi succeeds Hisakazu Imaki, who remains Chairman of the Board.

Masaharu Yamaki, formerly Director and Senior Managing Executive Officer in charge of Production, Business Logistics and IT Solution, has been appointed Executive Vice President of Mazda, assistant to president; in charge of R&D, Production, Purchasing and Quality.

All changes were approved on November 18 by the Mazda board of directors.
