Speculation about possible Sale
of Jaguar and Land Rover continuing
Berlin, June 15 -- According to the
German newspaper the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (June
14, 2006) several private equity companies are interested in
buying Jaguar and Land Rover. Especially Cerberus,
Blackstone and Cinven have shown interest in Ford’s luxury
car brands. Other car manufacturers already rejected the
idea of extending their portfolio.
According to the German newspaper
the total value of the two brands could add up to 6 billion
Euros. Although the initial idea was to sell the brands as a
package, now the option of a separate sale is again on the
table, according to industry sources.
