Earthquake forced Honda to suspend production in two main plants

Because of the recent earthquake in Niigata Prefecture Honda’s production was suspended on July 24, 25 and 26. The automotive assembly operation at Yokkaichi Factory of Yachiyo Industry Co., Ltd, and the engine assembly operation at Kumamoto Factory had to stop production ion the 25th as well.

All other factories will operate normally.

The situation beyond July 26 will depend on when the Kashiwazaki Factory of Riken Corp can resume full production and other conditions in the area damaged by the earthquake.
