AUDI AG Supervisory Board decides:
Martin Winterkorn to become Chairman of Supervisory Board on
January 1, 2007 At its meeting today, the Supervisory Board of
AUDI AG appointed Rupert Stadler, Board Member for Finance and
Organisation, as the company's acting Chairman of the Board of
Management with effect from January 1, 2007. Stadler will retain
responsibility for his previous portfolio on top of his new
role.
At the same time Prof. Dr. Martin
Winterkorn, who is taking over as Chairman of the Board of
Management of VOLKSWAGEN AG on January 1, 2007, will be
switching to the company's Supervisory Board and has been
elected as the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board of AUDI AG
by its members.
Winterkorn thanked Dr. Bernd
Pischetsrieder, who had served as Supervisory Board Chairman of
AUDI AG since January 1, 2002, for his reliable, effective work
and his contribution as Audi's Supervisory Board Chairman,
commending the part he had played in helping the company to
develop attractive models, bring them successfully to market,
and thus strengthen Audi's worldwide profile as a premium brand.
