Changan Auto: Launching 20 models in the next three years

Changan Automobile, a Chinese auto maker based in Chongqing Municipality announced that the Group will launch four new models for the rest of this year, the models will include economy cars and mid and high segment cars.

Its hot selling model the Benben and the third generation Ford Mondeo will be launched next month.

Changan Ford Mazda, Changan's joint venture with the U.S. automaker Ford, will launch Mazda 2 this November, with an estimated price of 200,000 yuan to 250,000 yuan.

Jiangling Motor Company, a subsidiary of Changan Auto, said it will launch the first sedan Landwind CV7 in September this year.

According to the plan, Changan Automobiles sales are expected to reach 2,000,000 units by 2010, in which 600,000 units are self developed vehicles and 800,000 units are co-produced with its partners.
