Stuttgart - Over the past calendar year, Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG,
Stuttgart, has sold more cars in North Amer-ica than ever before in
the history of the company. A total of 33,289 cars were delivered to
customers in the USA and Canada, compared with 30,029 units the year
before; an 11 percent increase. Once again, the Cayenne was behind
this growth: 19,134 of these sporty off-roaders were sold in North
America in 2004 (up 40 percent on the previous year). 10,227 cars from
the 911 range were sold (up 3 percent), while Boxster sales fell to
3,728 (down 42 percent). 200 Carrera GTs were sold.

The last month of 2004 also
came to a successful conclusion for Porsche; sales of cars in December
amounted to 2,837 units. The slight 2 percent drop compared with the same
month of the previous year was due to a de-cline in Boxster sales to 100
cars (down 75 percent). On the other hand, sales of cars from the 911
range rose significantly to 870 units (up 19 percent). The Cayenne
continued its successes with sales of 1,838 units (up 5 percent). 29
Carrera GT units were also delivered.
