Auburn Hills, Mich. - Chrysler Group will establish a new office in Stuttgart, Germany, early next year with responsibility for sales, service and support functions, such as product marketing and network development, throughout Western Europe, including Poland and Czech Republic.

The move comes as the Company is in the midst of an unprecedented new product offensive and is gearing up to expand the Dodge brand to Europe and other volume markets outside of North America in 2006.

Between 2003 and 2007, the Chrysler Group will more than double the number of models it offers in markets outside of North America to almost 20. During the same time period, the Company will further expand its international offerings by more than doubling the number of diesel and right-hand-drive models as well.

"The new product pipeline is full, and Western Europe is our key international volume driver. Therefore, to continue our growth in the region, it is essential to have the best structure in place in order to fully capitalize on the opportunities presented by our product offensive," said Thomas Hausch, Executive Director - International Sales and Marketing, Chrysler Group. "We are now placing our focus on execution and maintaining close contact with our markets in the region. The new function will further strengthen the presence of Chrysler and Jeep® brands and products and will support the expansion of the Dodge brand in Western Europe."

The new office, which will start its operations in January 2006, will be headed by Jacques Bousquet, Director of Chrysler Group Operations in Western Europe. Bousquet is currently the Managing Director of Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge at DaimlerChrysler France, where he is also a Member of the Board of Directors.

Prior to that, Bousquet, who is 45, worked for 23 years in various roles in the automotive industry in Europe and the U.S. Mr. Bousquet will directly report to Thomas Hausch in Auburn Hills, Mich. The Service and Parts group in the new operation will also have a reporting relationship to Paul Alcala, Director of International Service and Parts for the Chrysler Group, also in Auburn Hills.

The new organization will be based in Stuttgart, sharing office premises with DCAA (DaimlerChrysler Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe) and will create employment for a total of 22 staff in Stuttgart and two in Auburn Hills.

The new office will absorb most of the sales, service and support functions that are currently fulfilled by the Chrysler Group office in Brussels, Belgium. Therefore, the Company's office in Brussels, with a current staff of 17, will be discontinued during the first quarter of 2006.

"Western Europe is a highly competitive marketplace, and we intend to stay ahead of the game. Our business continues to evolve so we can better serve our customers," added Hausch.

In November, Chrysler Group sales in markets outside of North America increased 25 percent compared with November 2004, posting the highest November sales since the year 2000. Sales increases in all of Chrysler Group's international regions helped the Company to post an increase of 9 percent from January - November 2005 versus the same period in 2004 in markets outside of the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
