Klaus Berning appointed Director of Region Asia, Pacific, Africa and Eastern Europe at BMW Group
 

Munich - Klaus Berning (46) will be taking over management of the sales region Asia, Pacific, Africa and Eastern Europe at the BMW Group as of 1 July 2004. Berning is the successor to Lueder Paysen (60), who is retiring.  Berning was formerly President of BMW Ibérica S.A, the BMW Group sales subsidiary in Spain. In his new position, he will report to Dr. Michael Ganal, who is responsible for Sales and Marketing on the Board of Management of BMW AG. Altogether, the sales organisation of the BMW Group consists of the regions Germany (Ludwig Willisch), Europe (David Panton), America (Tom Purves) and the region Asia, Pacific, Africa, Eastern Europe (Klaus Berning).
