Porsche 911 is the sports car with the most stable value
Stuttgart - The Porsche 911
is the vehicle with the most stable value among the sport coupés and one
of the most value-stable automobiles there is. This just from the latest
publication of the Schwacke Automobile Index (SAX), which is based on data
from the previous year. Whereas the resale value of all other two-year old
sports coupés, with an average mileage of 35.000 kilometers, has dropped
from 73.94 to 70.23 percent since November 1999, the Porsche 911 resale
value has increased from a previous high of 75.37 to now 76.77 percent. In
contrast to the largely later-appearing competition listed by SAX, the
current 911 is not benefiting from being new on the market. The Schwacke
commentary: "Porsche on the upswing". |

Long-term quality and high
reliability are the features that have always distinguished Porsche sports
cars. The price of a used 911 being only 23 percent lower than the new car
price, even after two years and considerable mileage, shows that those
interested in Porsche used cars are very aware of the attractiveness and
stable value of the 911. Even in second and third-hand owners, the 911
price remains noticeably stable.
