Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière joins the Renault Board of Directors
Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Fimalac, was coopted by the Renault Board of Directors on October 22, 2002.
He replaces Michel Pébereau, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BNP-Paribas. Mr. Pébereau submitted his resignation as representative of BNP-Paribas on the Renault Board of Directors, in accordance with the new economic regulations (NRE) act of May 15, 2001 governing overlapping terms of office of directors.
Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière began his career at Banque de Suez et de l'Union des Mines, which became Indosuez. In 1976, when he was head of the investment banking department at Indosuez, he joined L'Oréal as Finance Director. He was subsequently named Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of L'Oréal. He started his own company, Fimalac, in 1991 and has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since its founding. Fimalac is a business services group listed on the Premier Marché of the Paris Stock Exchange.
