FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich.-- Robert Bosch GmbH recently announced management changes at its executive level. Dr. Hermann Scholl, member of the board of management of Robert Bosch GmbH since 1975 and chairman since 1993, will resign on June 30, 2003. He will join the supervisory council of Robert Bosch GmbH and will be nominated for election as chairman of that body. Franz Fehrenbach (53) was appointed chairman of the board of management, replacing Scholl, effective July 1, 2003. Fehrenbach joined Bosch in 1975 and has been a member of the board of management since 1999. Dr. Wolfgang Eychmuller, chairman of the supervisory council of Robert Bosch GmbH, will resign from office effective June 30, 2003 after serving on the board for 25 years. Deputy chairman of the board of management, Robert Bosch GmbH, Tilman Todenhofer, will resign from his post on December 31, 2003, and will join the supervisory council January 1, 2004. Dr. Bernd Bohr (46) will become chairman of the automotive technology business sector, taking over this responsibility from Scholl. Bohr joined Bosch in 1983 and has been a member of the board of management since 1999. Dr. Siegfried Dais (54) will replace Todenhofer as deputy chairman of the board of management of Robert Bosch GmbH on January 1, 2004. Dais joined Bosch in 1979 and has been a member of the board of management since 1999. Bosch designs and produces precision automotive components and systems sold to vehicle and powertrain manufacturers worldwide. These include systems and components for gasoline and diesel injection, airbag components, ABS and conventional braking systems, telematics, as well as small motors, electrical and electronic equipment. Robert Bosch Corporation, the wholly owned subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH, headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany, is responsible for North American operations. (Dec 17, 2002)
