| March 7, 1999 -- Audi is now adding a highly attractive new model to its
range that will appeal especially to lovers of open-top sports cars. The TT Roadster,
developed in parallel with the TT Coupé, will make its debut on Europes roads this
summer. Assuming that customers opt for one of the two quattro versions, they will be
driving the only open-top two-seater in the world apart from the Lamborghini Diablo
Roadster with power transmitted to the road via all four wheels. Its uncompromising
design, its powerful appearance and its core values will ensure the TT Roadster an
enthusiastic reception from all those who want to combine a sports-car driving style with
a passion for open-top travel.
The Roadster profits from the convincing precedent set by its sister model, the
TT Coupé, with which it shares the same choice of engines and gearboxes. |

| Torrance
Calif., (January 28, 1999) - The all-new Acura 3.2TL luxury performance sedan has been
named "The People's Choice Car of the Year" for 1999. The award for the 3.2TL
was presented at the Los Angeles Auto Show earlier this month. In its first year, The
People's Choice Car of the Year Award is an independent award. Eight vehicles competed for
the award, including the BMW 323i, Chrysler 300M, Volkswagen Jetta GLX, Isuzu VehiCROSS,
Jeep Grand Cherokee, Mercury Cougar and the Volvo S80. |
 |
| Award criteria included overall quality, vehicle fit and
finish, performance and handling, styling and finally overall value. The winner was
selected by ballot from more than 5,000 new car buyers from around the state of
California. "We're pleased that so many industry organizations are recognizing the
TL as an exceptional vehicle," said Dick Colliver, Acura's executive vice president.
"This award is particularly meaningful since it is given by new car buyers and
they're telling us we've got a winner."
The People's Choice Car of theYear Award adds to the list of accolades the TL already
has received, including being named a "Top Car" by AAA and a "Best
Buy" by both Consumer's Digest and Consumer Guide. |
